At this stage of her life, Tess Barr could well afford to take it easy and coast contentedly into a beautiful Oregon sunset. But that’s the last thing on her mind.

 

Barr is about to release her newest album titled Trouble's Comin'. Comprising 13 cuts of well-crafted music that showcases Barr’s dynamic range and extensive talent. Barr possesses a powerful voice that she is in complete control of.

 

The Pacific Northwest native lives with her husband and musical partner Patrik. Recently Barr has teamed up with legendary producer Ron Nevison and his A-list team of musicians and engineers. With the assistance of Nevison Barr has just completed a new dynamic and exciting project. This new project is a follow-up to Barr’s 2014 critically acclaimed release Do What You Want and is a dream come true for her.

 

Tess’ album release Do What You Want received airplay on 61 radio stations across the US as well as 4 Canadian stations.  Additionally, songs from the album were syndicated on the ATC Blues Network across British Columbia. In total Do What You Want received airplay on 170 stations in the US, Canada, Spain, The Philippines and Belgium.

 

A variety of songs from Barr’s album Do What You Want were included in playlists from the likes of Buddy Guy, Tommy Castro, Robben Ford, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Royal Southern Brotherhood, John Hammond, Savoy Brown, Mavis Staples, Albert King, Billy Boy Arnold, Joe Louis Walker, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Shaun Murphy, Charlie Musslewhite, David Bromberg Band, Lurrie Bell, Pinetop Perkins, Leon Russell, Robert Cray, Dave Mason, John Mayall, Janiva Magness and many many more.

 

More recently Barr found herself immersed in a new project with the famed industry pro Ron Nevison. Whose list of credits include the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, the Who, Ozzy Osborne, KISS, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Grand Funk Railroad, Jefferson Starship, Heart, Chicago, among many others, plus four Billboard magazine Top-5 Producer of the Year awards and numerous Grammy nominations.

 

Barr’s new project titled Trouble's Comin' is all original except for one inspired cover and was recorded in Hood River, Portland, Oregon and in Los Angeles, California. The project included top musicians including guitarist Tim Pierce (Rick Springfield, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Johnny Van Zant, Meat Loaf, Patty Smith, Joe Cocker, Michael Jackson) and keyboardist Jeff Bova (Celine Dion, Michael Jackson, Blondie, Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper), plus harmonica and slide guitar contributions from her husband Patrik. The result is a powerful, modern, exciting new album.
